Maggie Nance Wins Another Title at Pali

Our very own Maggie Nance guided the Palisades Charter High School Girl's team to their first Los Angeles City title in two years.  Her boy's finished second to Cleveland High.  Palisades High swim team has many members from Westside Aquatics.  On the girl's side Chelsea Davidoff placed sixth in the 200 Free and fourth in the 100 Breast, Jasmine Punch placed second in the 200 Free and third in the 500, Kristen Fujii placed second in the 100 Back and third in the 50 Free posting her first Sectional Cut, Julie Wynn placed seventh in the 50 Free and third in the 100 Free Paris Hays won both the 50 and 100 Free, Peter Fishler won the 200 Free,  Brian Johnson finished second in both the 200 IM and 100 Back, Eric Hamer finished second in the 50 Free and third in the 100 Free, Slava Agafonoff finish third in the 100 Breast, Eric Balsim placed sixth in the 500 Free, Andrew Le placed twelfth in the 50 Free and sixth in the 100 Back, Carl Kaplan captured tenth in the 100 Free and Ted Tomlinson finished seventh in the 100 Back and ninth in the 200 IM.

Westside Exceeds at CIF

Westside Aquatics was represented by Katie Wong, Erin Adams, Florencia Esteves, Samantha Brill, Xenia Pineda.  Katie Wong placed sixth in the 50 Free and twelfth in the 100 Free in Division 1.  Erin Adams finished fifth in the 50 Free and eighth in the 100 Free in Division IV.  Florencia Esteves finished eighth in the 50 Free in Division III making her first Sectional Cut.

New Coach
We are proud to announce the hiring of our fourth coach Elizabeth Wong.  Ms. Wong will be assisting with the Senior Group.  Elizabeth recently graduated from Brown University where she swam for four years. She competed at the 2005 Summer Senior Nationals as a member of the Westside Aquatics 4x100 Free Relay.  

Davidoff to UCLA

Former Tulane standout Cara Davidoff has announced her college choice for the fall.  She will be joining fellow Westsider Katie Wong at UCLA.
