Westside Aquatics places six swimmers in Southern California Top 16

The final Southern California Top 16 list is out and six Westside Aquatics swimmers made the list of the top swimmers in Southern California.  These include:

 

Short Course

Alexa Merz 50,100, 200 Free, 100 Back

Katie Wong 50 Free

Kendall Bohn 100, 200 Breast

 

Long Course

Alexa Merz 50, 100 Free

Katie Wong 50, 100 Free

Paris Hays 50 Free

Brian Johnson 200 Back

Myles O’Conner 100 Breast

 

South Gate Meet

Westside Aquatics swimmers performed well at the first meet of the season at South Gate.  In the 8 and under division we were represented by Griffin Koffman and Daniel, Jonathan and Jana Shemano.  Daniel Shemano dropped over 4 seconds in the 50 breast to place 4th.  Placing 2nd in the 50 Backstroke, Griffin Koffman made his first A time with a 46.59.  Twelve year old Stephanie Smith made her first AA time in the 50 Breast placing first in the B division with a time of 38.51.

 

College Update

Twelve Westside Aquatics swimmers will be starting their college seasons this month.  We will bring you updates throughout the season from the following Westside swimmers:

 

Cara Davidoff (Tulane), Greg Walther (UC Santa Cruz), Alexa Merz (Stanford), Katie Smith (SDSU), Dan Fox (The College of New Jersey), David Nonberg (Carleton), Kim Kraushaar and Kendall Bohn (UCSD), Kylie Wong (Amherst), Elizabeth Wong (Brown), Maika Lindsay (Kenyon), and Grey McIntosh (USC).

November 12-13 Senior Development @ Fullerton

November 19-20 Palm Springs

 

Meets in our section (Pacific) will close early because of the large amount of swimmers.  You need to get your meet forms in early.
